Well Ahead of Schedule Due to the Work Ethic of our Volunteers

Humidor Extended, Opening Wall Changed

So, I headed to Jamaica for a few days of respite from the winter chill, snow and ice and returned to our Third Street Cigar project that is simply blasting along.  ...and the snow was gone!

Thanks to our volunteer helpers, we are weeks ahead of our projected schedule and have saved substantial sums of cash that we would have otherwise spent on hiring the work done.  

The humidor is coming along well as Dave Graven and Bob Miller, principally among others, have devoted a lot of time toward its remodel.  It should be thoroughly roughed in by week's end and ready for our visit by our Spanish cedar humidor manufacturers, Custom Creations of Wixom, MI visit early next week.  They are coming in to take their measurements.  Custom Creations is a very large supplier of custom humidor and cigar shop furnishings and create these for customers all over the country.  Fortunately for us, they are only an hour and a half North.  

Once they get their data, they can prefab our humidor in two - three days.  They will also be making our private humidor lockers for our private lounge.

Private Lounge

The Private Lounge has taken on a new look with the floor repairs and will be be receiving our undivided attention once the retail shop and Public Lounge are complete.

 

Big Jack's Public Lounge

A number of guys spent the weekend painting upstairs in the Public Lounge.  After a visit from our interior decorator colors were chosen, paint and supplies were purchased and the work began.  First coats were applied and final coats will be done this week.  Special kudos to Mac Henry, Rich Restivo, Jim Gregory and Tim Hawkins among others.  It should be noted that Mac and Rich are not investors but volunteer anyway to help us complete our projects.  Thanks guys...

Big Jack's

John Henry has personally purchased the blues and jazz prints that will be displayed on these walls and is having his incredible collection of signed guitars mounted in display cases and they will adorn the walls of our Blues and Jazz theme of Big Jack's Public Smoking Lounge.  These items are all of John's private collection and he has graciously allowed them to be displayed in our lounge.  Thanks, John...

 

Once the painting is done we can begin installing our Chelsea Hardwood pre-finished hickory flooring.
